Get Help for Granola Personal for Microsoft Windows

Are you trying to get help for Linux?

We provide the mw-feedback tool to allow you to submit feedback or create support tickets.

Submitting feedback

In Microsoft Windows, there are two ways to submit feedback:

Select the MW-Feedback menu item under the Granola menu in the Start menu.

Right-click the Granola icon in the system tray, and select 'Submit Feedback'.

This will open up your web browser to the Granola website. When the website opens you will have to enter your Granola login credentials. You will then see a form where you can then enter in your problem description and any feedback you may have. The bottom box displays the information collected about your computer. This information will help us to diagnose any problems encountered, as well as help us to make our product even better for you!

What information is gathered?

We value your privacy. For more information on how we protect your data please read our privacy statement. The system information provided by this feedback will help us improve Granola.

We collect some non-personal information about the computer, and a new web browser window or tab will be opened where you can review and submit the feedback.

If you run mw-feedback, the following data is gathered and sent back to us:

  • Operating system name and version
  • CPU manufacturer and product name
  • BIOS vendor and version number
  • Hardware serial number
  • Hardware manufacturer and product name

Debug mode

Granola also has a debug mode that allows you to create a log of the program execution in order to help diagnose problems. Our support team may request you run in debug mode to help diagnose an issue.

To start in debug mode select the "Granola (Debug Mode)" menu item under the MiserWare menu in the Start menu.

Please leave Granola (Debug Mode) running until you see your problem. When Granola (Debug Mode) exits or you close it you will see a dialog box telling you the location of the debug logfile and how to access it.Granola debug dialog

If you click OK in the dialog box, the logfile will open in Notepad. To help us debug your problem we want you to email the contents of the logfile to Support @ MiserWare. Simply copy and paste the contents of the logfile into an email and send it to us.
